On the 15th of November, an event for a specialist public on “Mobilising Capacities for Global Sustainable Action" took place in the context of the network meeting in the Centro Integral de Servicios San Javier.

At the 14th International Network Meeting of the ESD Expert Net, forty active members from Germany, India, Mexiko and South Africa met in Puebla, Mexico.

All twenty mentees of the second round of the Mentoring for ESD-Leadership Programme met one last time with their mentors in Puebla, Mexico, in the context of a nine-day conclusion event.

From 30.08.2019-02.09.2019 a meeting of the international working group “Evaluation” took place in Berlin. The proposal for this course has arisen from the need for innovative, learning-centered approaches to evaluation for, in and of ESD programmes and activities and to enhance the experience in evaluation among ESD practitioners, in the network and beyond.

In July 2019, all mentees and their mentors from the Mentoring for ESD-Leadership Programme met at the National Mentoring Workshops.

On 28 June 2019, Giovanni Fonseca from the ESD Expert Net in Hanover (Lower Saxony) conducted a workshop as part of the project "Connect for Change - Shaping Global Education Partnerships and Projects for Change".

In June 2019 a three-day meeting of the working group "Go! Global" took place in Berlin. The main focus of the meeting was on the further development (design and content) of the planned online "organic course".

In March, all participants of the second batch of the Mentoring for ESD-Leadership Programme came together on a sustainably managed estate in Nauen (Brandenburg) for the nine-day introductory week. The introductory week is the kick-off meeting of the altogether ten months blended learning programme.

From 28th of February to 6th of March 2019, the members of the ESD Exert Net, Prof. Rob O'Donoghue from Rhodes University (South Africa), Dr. Thomas Hoffmann from the Teacher Training Center Karlsruhe (Germany), Rajeswari Gorana (India), Marianna Svinos from bezev (Germany) and M.Sc. Wendy Morel from the Instituto Escuela (Mexico), implemented the teachers’ workshop “Inclusive Global Learning with the Cashew” in four Mexican states (Guanajuato, Mexico City, Puebla and Veracruz).

They were supported by the German non-profit organization Engagement Global, the ESD Expert Net and the Instituto Escuela. The aim was to present and work with the material “Nuez de la India – Aprendiendo con semillas” (“Cashew – A Global Learning Challenge”) in the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), inclusive education, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the shared challenges and perspectives from the four countries of the ESD Exert Net (India, Germany, Mexico and South Africa).
